Roam the famous Serengeti National Park, nearly 15,000 sq km of rolling savanna that shelters an astounding array of animals, from miniature dik-dik antelopes to the noble African elephant. This is also a human journey that puts you in the heart of the valleys once inhabited by some of humankind’s earliest ancestors – where you’ll have the opportunity to learn from the Maasai community – hear about the customs and traditions of the village life and even prepare a local Swahili dish.

 

DAY 1 : Arusha National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Arusha National Park for a game drive. We go through Arusha National Park, where we view the herds of buffalo in the spectacular Ngurdoto Crater, the flamingos of the Momela Lakes, and the imposing peak of rugged Mount Meru. Arusha National park houses a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebra, colobus monkeys, leopards, and hyenas, in the park’s small but bustling 53 square miles of natural habitats. Enjoy a picnic lunch while gazing at the rolling hills and wooded savannahs of this national treasure.

DAY 2 : Arusha- Tarangire

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.
The park consists of natural vegetation mainly of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa.

This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings.

DAY 3 : Tarangire- Serengeti

After breakfast, we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.

We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

DAY 4 : Serengeti (Full Day)

After breakfast, have a full-day game drive in the park, lunch at the lodge /campsite.

The park has an endless plain which is a home for lions, leopards, elephants, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest migration, eland, wild dogs, gazelle, crocodiles, and many more. Also, you will enjoy the variety of birds that decorate the park with different sounds.

DAY 5 : Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Enjoy early breakfast, have morning game drive, then game drive en route to Ngorongoro Conservation area with game drive en route.

DAY 6 : Serengeti – Ngorongoro

After breakfast, you descend into the crater, enjoy a full-day game drive in the crater.

The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos.

Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.

DAY 7 : Manyara – Arusha

Early morning breakfast, then depart to Lake Manyara for game drive.
The park has a varied habitat that attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboons, warthog, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.

Late afternoon drive back to Arusha
